Welcome to Our Official Closter Tree Lighting Web Page
This year's Tree Lighting program is all about celebrating the light that shines in us all. Through songs, decorations, kindness and gingerbread artistry, we hope the goodness you'll feel lasts a lifetime. In the spirit of the Holidays, we are teaming up with the Police Benevolent Association to help them in their efforts to collect new, unwrapped toys to help kids in need. And, in an effort to make our gingerbread house contest even sweeter, monies collected from our gingerbread contest will go to benefit the Closter Food Pantry.

P.B.A. Toy Drive
Bringing Joy to Kids in Need
For the last 31 years PBA Local 233 has ran a successful Toy Drive. We started as a small four town Toy Drive and now have grown into an enormous Toy Drive involving 58 local towns. The toys that we collect help sick and needy families including military families. For the month prior to the Toy Drive all 58 towns collect toys and donations. We all gather at the Closter Fire Department and sort the thousands of toys by age group. Multiple charity organizations as well as the Military come out and the toys are loaded into their cars. Once all charities collect we then load a box truck in which we fill and transport to Hackensack Hospital and then distribute to the children on the cancer ward.
Look for the P.B.A. table on December 8th to drop-off a new, unwrapped toy.
